How PoofMail handles temporary inbox content, usage data, cookies, analytics, and abuse-prevention data.

Last updated: January 2026

1. Overview

PoofMail is designed to reduce unnecessary exposure of your primary email address. We collect the minimum data needed to provide temporary inbox functionality, protect the service from abuse, and understand site usage.

2. Information we process

  • Temporary inbox content: messages received by temporary addresses when inbox delivery is active. These are intended to stay short-lived rather than permanent.
  • Usage and security data: basic request, device, IP, and abuse-prevention signals needed to operate and defend the service.
  • Analytics data: aggregate page and feature usage to improve the product.

3. Retention

Temporary inbox messages are intended to expire automatically after a short retention window once delivery is active. Abuse-prevention and infrastructure logs may be retained separately for service security and operational troubleshooting. Read the dedicated page for the practical boundary.

4. Cookies, analytics, and ads

PoofMail may use cookies or local browser storage to keep the current inbox usable during a session. Analytics may be used to understand aggregate usage. If advertising or affiliate partners are enabled later, they will be disclosed and should not be placed on the utility inbox experience.

5. Third-party infrastructure

PoofMail may rely on infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare for hosting, security, routing, and temporary storage. These providers process data as needed to operate the service.

6. Acceptable-use boundary

PoofMail is not intended for fraud, harassment, impersonation, evading platform rules, or illegal activity. We may restrict service access or investigate reported misuse. Read the for the full boundary.
